MOL/WHL Join Forces to Kick Off an Intra-Asia Service JHC at SCT

In view of the profitable Intra-Asia service marketplace, MOL has joined forces with MHL to kick off a Japan-Taiwan-Hong Kong-China service (JHC) at SCT (Shekou Container Terminals Ltd.) on Thursday, May 22. With a deployment of two 1174TEU capacity containerships, it is calling SCT every Thursday with the following sailing routes: Keelung > HKG(HIT) > HKG(Mid-stream) > Shekou > Xiamen > Tokyo > Yokohama > Osaka > Kobe > Keelung. To congratulate the smooth calling of its maiden voyage M.V. MOL Evolution at SCT, Mr. Michael Qiao, SCT China Affairs Department Manager went on board presenting a memento to Capt.

鉴于亚洲航运业务量的迅速增长，商船三井与万海联合开辟了一条亚洲线：日本-台湾-香港-中国（JHC）航线。五月二十二日，JHC首航蛇口挂靠SCT。该航线共投入两艘装载能力为1174标箱的集装箱船，于每周四挂靠SCT，挂靠港顺序为：基隆 > 香港(HIT) > 香港(Mid-stream) > 蛇口 >厦门 > 东京 > 横滨 > 大阪 > 神户 > 基隆。

Wan Hai Line Adds Another Intra-Asia Service JCIN at SCT

Starting from May 23, 2003, Wan Hai Line (WHL) added another Intra-Asia Service JCIN at SCT. Total five 1662TEU capacity ships were deployed in the service by WHL with slots shared by Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd and PONL. It will berth SCT every Friday on a fixed-time basis with the following rotation: Kaohsiung > HKG(HIT) > Shekou > HKG(HIT) > Tokyo > Yokohama > Osaka > Xingang.

万海在SCT增加一条亚洲线：JCIN万海船务自五月十三日起，在SCT(蛇口集装箱码头)又增加了一条亚洲航线-- JCIN，共有五艘装载能力为1662标箱的集装箱船舶投入运行该航线，长荣、赫伯罗特和铁行渣华均有舱位共享。JCIN于每周五挂靠SCT，挂靠港顺序为：高雄 > 香港(HIT) > 蛇口 > 香港(HIT) > 东京 > 横滨 > 大阪 > 新港。

CMA/PONL Jointly Launch American East Coast Service PEX2 at SCT

To cater for the booming transpacific trade, CMA and PONL jointly launched an American East Coast Service PEX2 at SCT on Saturday, May 24, 2003. With a fleet of eight 2500TEU capacity vessels equally deployed by CMA and PONL, it will offer fixed-time weekly service at SCT on every Saturday with the following calling ports:  Shanghai > Shekou > Hongkong > Pusan > Manzanillo(Mexico) > Manzanillo(Panama) > Kingston > Houston > Manzanillo(Panama) > Manzanillo(Mexico) > Shanghai. It is also the first time for CMA to call its own vessels at SCT. The successful breakthrough opens a new potential gateway for both parties’ further cooperation.

法国达飞轮船与铁行渣华最近新辟一条美洲航线PEX2，于五月十四日首次靠泊蛇口SCT码头。两家船公司分别投入四条2500标箱的集装箱船运行该条航线，于每周六挂靠SCT，挂靠港顺序为：上海 > 蛇口 > 香港 > 釜山 > 曼萨尼约(墨西哥) > 曼萨尼约(巴拿马) > 金斯顿 > 休斯顿 > 曼萨尼约(巴拿马) > 曼萨尼约(墨西哥) >上海。

Shekou Frontier Defence Inspection Station Implements Pre-inspection Regulation on Liners calling Western Shenzhen Terminals

To adapt to the rapidly growing shipping market demands, Shekou Frontier Defence Inspection Station has issued a new regulation stating that effective from May 22, 2003, frontier inspections for international liners calling Western Shenzhen Terminals, mainly referred to Shekou Container Terminals Ltd.(SCT) and Chiwan Container Terminal Co., Ltd (CCT), can be advanced once their agents hand in proper documents for their registration and approval 24 hours ahead of the related vessels’ arrival. Given all the procedures are all-right, SCT/CCT is allowed to handle the related vessels as soon as they arrive. Thus it will boost Western Shenzhen Terminals’ operational efficiency to a great extent.

To officially announce the implementation of the new regulation, Shekou Frontier Defence Inspection Station jointly with SCT and CCT held a signing ceremony in Nan Hai Hotel, Shekou, Shenzhen on May 21, 2003. During the function, Mr. Chen Qianhe, Shekou Station Master, Mr. Cheyenne Yu, GM of SCT and Mr. Zheng Shaoping, GM of CCT respectively representing their own entities signed the related agreement under the witness of more than 30 distinguished guests from Shenzhen Municipal Government Offices, Shenzhen Import and Export Frontier Inspection Stations, China Merchants Group etc.

蛇口实行船舶预检制度

    随着蛇口、赤湾两码头业务量的逐年大幅上升，码头泊位紧张情况日益突出。为有效解决泊位紧张的困难，经蛇口出入境边防检查站与蛇口集装箱码头(SCT)及赤湾集装箱码头 (CCT)共同协商，确定在两码头实施入境国际航行船舶国防检查手续预检制度，即入境船舶抵港24小时前，由船舶代理人凭有关单证资料向码头驻点边检船舶检查队办理入境船舶预检手续，对已办理预检手续的船舶，抵港后即可装卸货物。

    五月二十一日，蛇口边检站与SCT、CCT在蛇口南海酒店举行了隆重的签约仪式，蛇口边防检查站站长陈谦和先生和SCT总经理余俊英先生、CCT总经理郑少平先生在预检合作书上签了字，正式宣布了预检制度的开始实施。出席仪式的有来自深圳市政府办公厅、深圳出入境边防检查总站及招商局国际的嘉宾等三十多人。
